Chicken Caesar Salad at the Shoreline Hotel
Howrah, Tasmania
It was a large family gathering that called us to the Shoreline Hotel on Monday, February 11, 2008. The coming Thursday (14th) would mark the 60th wedding anniversary of Julianne's maternal grandparents. Other festivities were planned for Thursday, so Julianne's grandparents' extended family outing was held on the Monday.
After the meal, we recorded a very brief review. Here's the edited transcript:
JEREMY: Shoreline Hotel, 11th of February 2008...Chicken caesar salad – no croutons. What’s your score for taste?
JULIANNE: 3½
JEREMY: 3½ out of 4. Ingredients out of 3?
JULIANNE: Egg was boiled not poached...So I’d deduct ½ a mark for that. Everything else about the ingredients was good.
JEREMY: ...Presentation?
JULIANNE: Presentation – didn’t like the skewers. ½ a mark.
JEREMY: ½ for presentation. Um, value for money?
JULIANNE: [Indistinct]
JEREMY: ½ for that...And that gives us just service.
JULIANNE: [Indistinct]
JEREMY: Meh…½ for that as well. 7½. Is that 7½ then?
JULIANNE: Yep.
JEREMY: 7½ out of 10.
On a somewhat amusing side note, when we were discussing the service after the recording I said a little too loudly that I thought the service sucked. And yes, the waitress was right behind me when I said it. Oops.
